Meet Asker kommune

About

Asker, Norway’s 8th largest municipality (100,000 inhabitants), is a CCRI pilot city committed to advancing the circular economy. With responsible consumption (SDG 12) as a political priority, Asker promotes recycling, reuse, waste reduction and sustainable consumption. The municipality also provides free advice on household energy saving and climate-friendly renovation.

Role in CARE

In collaboration with OsloMet, Asker kommune will co-create and implement the clothing and food pilot in Norway. Additionally, Asker kommune will recruit households to participate in both pilots, ensuring local engagement and practical application. The municipality will also share pilot results with project partners, stakeholders, and the CCRI community, fostering connections and facilitating knowledge exchange.
